This snood is so confortable that it will be perfect for winter. You will knit it with size 4mm (US size 6) circular needles.

This pattern is ok for those who are begining with cable stitches because this motif is easy to do and to memorize for a romantic and chic result. The yarn used brings even more flufiness and smoothness to the cable stitches. I recommand a soft and flexible yarn for a really confortable and soft snood.

Sizes :

S, M, L

Circumference of the finished garment : 50cm/19,7inches (close to the neck), 80 cm/31,5inches (loose snood), 130cm/51,2inches (ideal for doing two turns around the neck)

Height : 30 cm/11,8inches (but it is adjustable as you desire)

Gauge :

26 sts x 27 rows = 10cm [4 x 4 inches] with the cable stitches, on 4mm / US 6 needles (or another size depending on your gauge) washed and mesured after blocked.

Yarns suggested :

I recommend using one thread of sport type or DK type or fingering + lace. I advise you to use soft and airy yarn to have a confortable cable stitches motifs. You will need about : 250m (about 274 yards) for size S, 400m (about 438 yards) for size M, and 600m (about 657 yards) for size L. It also depends on the lenght you want.

For your information :

- For size S : I used 2 balls of Drops Baby Merinos and 2 balls of Drops Mohair

- For size M : I used 2 balls of Angora wool (but the hight is small : 20cm)

Circular needles suggested : 4mm (US size 6)
